With deference to Mr Eisentraut, My steel Raleigh turned 25 in 2001 and still manages to show its steel tail to OCLV, Titanium and Aluminum new models. February has been a breakthrough month for me and my race steed, as our pace has moved up another 2 mph getting us from the rear of the pack to the center and sometimes better. Young men who ride for blood have quit patronizing TI Reynolds at stopovers, and now refuse to recognize that a piece of ancient history can get you through the pack, as they now don't even glance down to see what I straddle. I will continue to dance with the steel limbed one who brung me, and I continue to give most of the credit to Reynolds as I prefer to pretend to be modest. Please don't let my advancing years and the stinging barbs of Mr. Eisentraut take the wind out of my sails. Just because one can braze a frame, doesn't mean that they know the limits of steel. "Let no man break apart what God has brought together with torch and file."
Looking forward to my new home in So. Ca's most southern famous city. Presently in So. Fl., I am Garth Libre
