Do they take Look cleats? If so, Shimano made some slotted cleats for the Look pattern. They even made some Look cleats with a shallow slot at the back, which I've modified into functioning slotted cleats. My LBS has these fairly cheap, as they came standard with Shimano shoes for many years. Otherwise, I've always wondered if the great T.A. Anquetil cleats could be bolted to a modern shoe (might need some sort of adapter plate rigged up, though). The fall-back position is to scour e-bay for Dettos and Duegi's.
