Subject: [CR]Faux chrome repainting

I am working on a non collector Viscount that is a sentimental restore project. I am gathering information about repainting and chrome work. I see the frame as a blank canvas and am going to add some flair to the final project by having the lugs, crown, and part of rear triangle accented.

I have 3 options: repaint as is with lugs a different color paint. OR Have the selected parts chromed, very expensive and will not add to the value of the frame. OR A new process that I think is powdercoating selected parts in a chrome color paint that is durable and maintanence free and the rest of the frame repaint in it's same original color. Anyone have experience with option #3? If so does the chrome paint look like chrome?
