Hello all yes another Lurker coming out. My comments not particularly worthy thus I'm not adding to the volume of digest, you're very welcome. Keith Bolog here some of you may remember the Cycle $eller newspaper I published from 93 to 96. I recognize quite a few names out there as old customers. Michael Kone tipped me off about the CR list . I was trying to learn the value of my DeRosa (without asking) in order to sell it on eBay or elsewhere. After lurking a while decided to offer on the CR list first, I'll be posting it soon.

I understand you're supposed to introduce your stable of bikes, most of mine are 'off topic' but can better answer the question 'What is your commuter?'

-Pickup Truck: '84 Specialzed Expedition, "Allman Bros" version (few original parts) -Minivan: '80 Santana 'internal lateral' tandem before there were model names, all original w 80s vintage Burley D'lite trailer, a lugless work of art -Italian Sports car: 80 De Rosa Professional, Pantographed Campy SR, sewups -Small Italian car (=Fiat): 80s bonded aluminum Tomasso, cheap Campy setup, whored up into a hybrid -Jap sports cars: 93 RB1, '8? RB1 -In the garage, wheels off, hood up: 2 ladyback schwinn tandems, one made during WWII (?) no chrome all blued parts -SUVs: Breezer lightning, Yeti ARCAS -Awaiting financing approval: Rivendell -Aeroplane: 47 Luscombe 8E

I have irresistable comments and questions to make from long ago topics: Never use Vaseline except on skin; for classic bikes eschew citrus solvent - degrease only with stoddard solvent or naptha it is age appropriate but dont pour it down the drain; regarding snakebites why do I get so many when I see never-out-of-the-saddle fat guys riding by with underinflated tires smashing over curbs? I need advice on the following: I have an older RB1, on the top tube in white script is painted "Synergy". Can anyone tell me what that means, or if it identifies the age &c? Where are good swap meets near the Chgo-Milwaukee area? ISO 7 speed Suntour Powerflow freewheels, NOS only, no box necessary (to use not collect). and a tandem child stoker kit. Will buy, else I have classic parts to trade.

Finally thanks for whoever mentioned Full Tilt the book about the Irish gal who cycled to India in the 60s, interesting read of familiar place names which the US recently overran (esp Afghanistan which she was enamoured by). She was not too smart I concluded.
