I am offering a 1980 De Rosa Professional, pantographed Campy SR. Brief
particulars are: 54c-c 56.5 c-t 54tt Category 1 frame restoration by Cyclart
including re-chromed fork royal blue with yellow trim; Campy SR (non- ti),
pantagraphed chainring and brake levers, cinelli bar/stem, concor saddle,
Ambrosio Synthesis sewups 36 hole. complete except one pedal dust cap and
missing skewer although I definitely have it somewhere. The bike is
unsassembled and I doubt I will rebuild it anytime soon, so will be selling
as a partial project. Condition: The frame is like new it had scratches and
rust below the BB which passed the 'icepick test', Cyclart did a superb job
and the decals all match. The parts are in need of cleaning and are
undamaged, tight, except one rear der cog missing teeth. There is rust on the
brake acorn nuts and QR plates; on the chainring bolts, and the spoke
eyelets, maybe some other cosmetic imperfections. I reckoned that I could
replace all those little fastners &c at moderate cost and have a really fine
bike after cleaning it up. It has the original(?) yellow brake cable casing
and yellow bar tape. I rode it around awhile before disassembly, it is a
great ride and evidently in alignment.
I really dont know the value, thought it could be worth 1200 reassembled. I
dont know what it is worth as-is, if interested kindly make offer or if not
please email me your opinion of the value, off list.
