I'm no expert on brakes of this "era" but I happen to see an NOS set on a bike the other day. I think you are referring to Suntour Aero brakes. I didn't look carefully at the bike but it was Japanese (Nishiki?), new in an LBS and around $500 canadian if anyone wants me to make inquiries. Come to think of it the whole bike may have been one of those Aero oddities.

Sorry if this is outside the CR date timeline...I couldn't say.
