I have been reading with interest the discussion on CP brake bushings, plastic, brass, bronze. I have a set of Shimano Tourneys that look as though Shimano rebaged the brakes to use as DA equipment, could be wrong but have been told they are adequate stoppers, haven't tried them in 14 years so I have no idea. My question is the bushings, are they the part that is between the 2 pivot bolts and if so, the strengthening arch you are speaking of adding, would it then mount between the bushing and the head of the pivot bolt? Think I have seen something from Salsa for MTB brakes that is an arch, is that a similar part/concept?
