It is a bit more robust a shell than the Nervex one that would ordinarily be matched to the lug set, unless he is using the Masi style "du Bois" short point lugs. Regarding the tubing, which tubes, where? Your size, strength, weight and riding style come into play here. The gauge of the tubing is probably more important than whether or not it is 531? or Columbus.
