Pete, Sounds like the Competitions Im looking at. Jan Heine is my nominee for Mafac guru here - see his post from this AM, but the Dural Forge and Racers have clamping bolts for the straddle cable and not the ball end. The Tigers have no slots for the pads to adjust up and down at least only minimal. Not sure about the 2000s.
