Walter, The Mr. VanGent that you refer to was probably Chris VanGent and his daughter Yvonne of the Big Wheel bicycle shop which was closed several years ago. They sold Gitane, Libertas, Eddy Merckx and others as well as a line for the family. Mr. Van Gent also had a brother, Jack ?, in the business.
