Subject: [CR]RE: Wolber-MIXTE B- Super Champion rims

Hello CR List members, I present to you questions about the Wolber -MIXTE B- Super Champion rim. From my understanding, correct me if I am wrong and/or feel free to elaborate more information, these narrow rims were not in production very long and had the capability of being used with both clinchers and sew-up tires. What year do these come out ?

Then there is the Wolber -COMPETION- Super Champion rim, of which is a dark anodized color. When did this appear on the market ? How good is this rim compared to the MIXTE B and the original Super Champion 58 rim ? I am only concerned with clincher rims, here. Are there other model rims by Wolber that should be mentioned in comparison ?

Currently, I have a pair of the 700c 36-H Wolber MIXTE B Super Champion clincher rims that I got in the mail recently, however was under the impression that I was going to receive the COMPETION model. So any information from you would be most appreciated upon determining which is a better rim for my needs. I have been enjoying. since the late 1970's, a pair of the original Super Champion 58- 700c 36-H clincher rims as a long distance day rider. Thank-you very much in advance,
Kim Hetzel
