Subject: [CR]Polishing alloy cycle parts

Dear List members,

I am about to commence the restoration of some 70's campag and cincelli parts and would appreciate some advice from those who have done the same in the past.

Firstly, what is the best method to polish up gear such as alloy head-stems and cranks. Is the Dremel tool useful here or should I just take it to be done by industrial experts? What have others done in regard to polishing up such parts?

Secondly, once it is polished, should it then be clear-coated with something? If so, what?

Many thanks for your advice in advance.

cheers

Peter
