Jack Taylor made adjustable steel road stems. They are Major Taylor style with the rotated-square-shaped extension area. They are painted a rather non-descript battleship gray (at least the one I have is). Mine is NOS and just collecting dust, so if anyone wants it, I'd sell it for $100 shipped in the Continental US. Can get you jpegs of it if you' d like.
