Subject: [CR]Free MS Excel bike riding log

I have a Microsoft Excel bike training log I put together several years ago when I couldn't find anything available commercially that suited me. I have been using it since 1996, and modify it to some degree every year. I have just finished updating the 2002 version, and would be glad to e-mail it to any of my fellow riders who request a copy from me. It is very easy to use, and has examples included that you can delete or type over with your own information after you look at how it works.

My training log lets you track the Date, Distance, Riding Time, Average Speed, Maximum Speed, Average Heart Rate, Maximum Heart Rate, Intensity of the Ride (1-5 with 5 being maximum intensity), Subjective Rating of the Ride (1-5 with 5 being an absolutely wonderful ride), Wind Speed/Direction, Outside Temperature, Route you took, Bike you rode, and Notes about the ride.

The spreadsheet automatically totals your Distance and Riding Time, and averages your Average and Maximum Speed; Average and Maximum Heart Rate; and Intensity and Rating.

I have also added a Bike and Mileage-to-Date area where you can track your 2000, 2001, and 2002 mileage. You can compare your 2002 mileage to your 2001 mileage month by month to see how you are doing. You can also keep an individual record of the miles ridden on each bike for those of you (like me!) who just have to ride more than one bike.

If you would like a copy, just e-mail me at frank121@icok.net Feel free to share it, or change it to suit your needs. I haven't had time to play with the 2002 version very much, so if you see an error please let me know and I will send revised copies to all who get one from me. I always appreciate feedback both positive and constructive, so please let me know what you think of the training log.

Thanks,
