got this as part of an ebay win a little while back - wanted the 2 ta 1/2" x 3/16" "criterium" pattern rings that were on it, but the adapter itself is a bit of a mystery...

its solid steel, appears to be milled. some of the holes may have been drilled aftermarket. it was found on a claud butler track tandem. its made specifically for 1/2 x 3/16" rings, by the spacing it sets them apart by - most likely designed for track tandems. the 2 rings mount on separate sets of bolt holes. no makers markings whatsoever.

just trying to see if anyone might have some insight into who may have made it, or whether it most likely is a one-off (or small batch) custom job. im guessing british, given the frame im told it was on - but it ended up in australia.

anyone seen one like it before? ive not seen inch-pitch rings in 6-bolt 152mm pattern other than ta, so im guessing it was made specifically for them...

thanks

-joel
