Was this the Moseman who built the custom Moseman frames ? A friend who recently moved west rode a huge custom "Moseman" single that I thought very beautifully made. It was SO big we used to tease him on rides and call him "Moose-Man", but I don't think that's why he moved away.
If so, this is particularly tragic to the classic community, as that bike was a (very large) jewel.
