Subject: [CR]Warning - silly hoods and serious P-R mechs

Hesitant to remove the fragile old-logo hoods from my Cinelli Supper Course, for fear of damaging them, I decided to make a mold of the entire bike.

From this mold I'm able to cast gum-rubber replicas of the whole Cinelli. All you need to do is carefully carve-away anything that isn't a lever hood.

Carefully painted, the gum-rubber Cinelli is a bike thief's greatest nightmare.

Put one or two Rubber-nellis in your roof rack, then have some fun down at the local drive-through (the one with low overhead clearance).

Complain at your LBS "This frame seems really flexy... what do you think?"

In other news... thanks to Seth Finkelstein for an excellent, in-depth explanation of the inner workings which make the Campagnolo cambio P-R do the seemingly impossible. I'm ready to make some engineering drawings, if someone will loan parts to me for a few weeks. We could use these drawings to manufacture replacements for wear items.
