The problem with collecting old bikes, at least in the wintry, salt-laden UK, is that frames almost always need refinishing by the time I get my hands on them. When this involves re-chroming the cost becomes prohibitive.
On the basis that most innovations start in the States and work their way over here, has anyone tried the new chrome-look powder coat finish that seems to be available now at my local powder coater.
He's enthusing about it but I haven't had time to check out the samples. Might this be an alternative to re-chroming forks, rear triangles, etc?
