The early Campy cranks might have fetched $1,000 had the condition been spectacular and the length 170 or so. The big dollars on these are in Japan - and 175's are not popular there I suspect.
The early Campy cranks are different than the later ones -the machining on them is special and the hardware is nicer than that found on later ones (even the mid 60's models). Early Campy stuff is very special. Savy shoppers, though, may find these cranks on old bikes of the period at reasonable prices if they are the first ones to "discover" the bike. A friend of mine just bought a bike for a few hundred dollars that had a set of the early cranks on it in nice condition.
