Forgive a dumb question. It seems everytime I see wingnuts for sale there is never any mention of threading. It seems the likely choices would be: English - 5/16" x 26tpi and 3/8" x 26tpi French - 8mm x 26tpi and 9.5mm x 26tpi Campy - 9mm x 26tpi and 10mm x 26tpi

So what to do if trying to buy and you can't check on your own axle? Assume Huret is French and GB is English threaded?
