Roland Della Santa not only was a mechanic, but he also built Greg Lemond's steel frames, starting when he was an amateur and continuing into his TdF and World Championship wins. Great work too and at one time, I was able to buy a box full of pantographed parts that he had stashed in his shop. Not sure whether he still has anything of that nature left.
