However, while brake pads, gum hoods, etc. are essential to keeping the bikes on the road, having the logos on them is NOT essential ... it's just a nice detail.
Makes me wonder what would have happened if Bob F. had asked Campagnolo in advance, "Hey ... I'd like to make some replica gum hoods for Nuovo Record and Super Record brake levers, and it would be nice to have the old Campagnolo world logo on them. I expect production to be small and probably not very profitable ... but there is a market for them in the vintage bicycle collector's circle. What do I need to do to obtain Campagnolo's permission without paying a large licensing fee which I really can't afford?"
