the masi bicycles that were race-ready in the 70s are useless in today's racing environment.
Hey Richard, I tour. I raced in the early 70's (in my early 20's) with Bud's Bike Shop in Covina, CA., but now racing bikes, racers, and alpha personalities in general bore me. Yet I'm curious. Why are 70's bikes useless in a modern racing environment? Is it the slower shifting? Are they that much heavier? Is modern geometry a better design?
