Jeremy Haynes in KC told me of this site last month, and I have enjoyed very much the communications and experiences of the list members. As I believe it is customary, would like to introduce myself to this group.
I began road and track racing an an intermediate in Pennsylvania in the late 1960's watching some of the greats in cycling at that time - Jack Simes, Dave Chauner, Bobby Phillips, etc. and enjoyed what was then a fairly remote sport. Rode in the '70 track Nationals in Kissena Park, NY, and was hooked on track racing from then on.
Had the opportunity to train and race at the Trexlertown Velodrome in the late 1970's prior to moving to LA, and fortunately kept my bikes. Now, as an older recreational rider, enjoy riding the vintage bikes with my kids.
Have owned 3 1960's Schwinn Paramounts that I unfortunately no longer have (2 track and 1 road) and now have the following:
1977 Gios Torino SR steel road bike
1978 Tom Kellogg (Pre-Spectrum) custom steel track bike
1981 Tom Kellogg (another pre-Spectrum) road bike. This bike, once owned by Paul Deem and ridden in the World's, was recently restored by Tom and built up with full Campy SR components by Jeremy here in KC.
All bikes are full Campy NR or SR, and are a joy to ride.
Thanks for this list and your active participation, and best wishes to all.

P.S. Anyone know where I can buy some NOS c1980 vintage Sidi shoes, around size 44.5 (or recommended new replacement shoe that works with Campy NR/SR pedals and toe clips?
