I examined the frame in question. It is unquestionably not a genuine Confente frame. I believe I know who built the frame but out of professional courtesy I will leave that unsaid. The frame is well built but is not the caliber of the work Mario would have done himself. This frame might be considered a "replica" but was actually intended to mislead I suspect since there is no indication that it was built as a replica.
It would be interesting to know how this bike rides.
