Kelly also had an absolutely terrible position. We can only wonder how much
better he might have done if...
Bob Roll rode one of my "stiff" frames on a ride in Marin County (we traded
bikes) in his pre TDF days. He beat me to the top of Camino Alto, but I made
him work for it. He REALLY wanted one of my frames because it was stiffer.
Unfortunately it never happened. To each his own.
