Subject: [CR]Want to restore my Jack Taylor ... can you help?

Hi,

I want to restore my Jack Taylor Cycle and was wondering if any of you could shed some light on what parts I am missing.

It is serial number 6232 and was made around '70.

I have a few pictures up on a web site http://www.stanford.edu/~crose/Bikes/JackTaylor/

This bike used to be my dads and over the years it has had some non original parts on it. I know that the bottle holder needs to go and that some of the pictures are not that great. I was trying to keep my one year old from grabbing the gears and derailer, that's why they are still in the plastic bags.

I would like to know if you would know what would be the proper parts to replace the following:

I need the brake levers - originals gone. Pedals - originals gone Campy Hubs - don't know what model they are and the picture would not come out right. derailers - in the pictures, but I don't know what model they are. Rear casette - I don't know why I had it changed, I think it was worn out (or the bike shop wanted to sell me something) Original Mafac brakes, I still have them, but they are kind of old.

What should I do to preserve the Brooks Saddle?

Any opinions on what I should do with the decals? Should I try to preserve them where they are at or replace?

Thanks,

Chris
