Subject: [CR]New Cycling Herse issue

The René Herse issue of New Cycling has been out for a few months, in fact, a number of listmembers have copies. If there is significant interest (10 copies or so), I can place another order. The cost, by the time it gets to the US, is $ 87, plus $ 6 shipping to you. (Shipping from Japan is extraordinarily expensive, something like $ 250 for an order of 15 books!) And yes, the book is spectacular.

So, anybody interested in this, contact me off-list. Also available is "Special Made Cycles Review" for about $ 40, which includes many (not very high quality - unlike the Herse book, which is stunning) photos of the various Japanese custom bikes, from French-style Toei to ultramodern whoknowswhat, with a few Herse and Singer, plus Italian beauties (De Rosa, etc.) thrown in for good measure. 1 page per bike, about 150 pages, mostly B&W, so there is a lot in there.

Finally, I am considering ordering a few Frank Patterson books from Britain. Once again, combining orders saves on bank fees and postage - anybody interested?
