A cautionary note on the Challenge Paris Roubaix tires: big, cushy, comfortable and attractive (if you like a fat tubular) but...they are lumpy. Before I'd take them home from a shop, I'd mount them on a dry wheelset and examine them carefully for lumps, bumps, jumps, and humps. I did just that after Aldo indicated that he had problems and returned a set. I thought they were passable but found after gluing them up that they aren't as round as I'd like. Less noticeable with less pressure but still there. Oh well, I'm eccentric too.
