"snip" : "Now my feeling is both are great but if I were to have to make a choice for the "best overall frame tubing of all time" I'd go with Reynolds 531."

Both Mr. Baylis and Mr. Tesch seem agreed that while Columbus tubing (I presume they mean SL) is fine, both favor Reynolds 531, at least by a slight margin. Is the preference based primarily on ride quality that results ie. not other factors such as workability during construction? I have heard people who like 531 say that what they appreciate is that certain feedback from the road which is just a little different.
