Hey folks,
Here is someting you cannot find on ebay for $1 (includes s/h/p to US lower 48 states), a pair of replacement Campy Cobalto "Stones" for Brake Calipers. You know, those blue plastic "stones" that either fell off or got knocked off of your brake centering nut... My original ones started to dull with age. Then, I then lost a original stone in another set of calipers. This is why I started to look for replacement plastic "stones" and could never find them on the Internet or at local stores.
What I have found are a limited number of sets that contain non-Campagnolo 11-10mm matched pairs of replacement plastic stones. Each is like a circle cut in half with a shining and reflective solid color on the top half and a attached metal base on the bottom half. Email and I can send you a pic. These fit Campy Cobalto Brake Calipers and are applied with Epoxy cement to the brake caliper mounting nut.
I only have a few sets in the in the following colors:
Pair of Dark Blue similar to original Campy Cobalto plastic stones (10 mm) Pair of Medium Blue plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Light Blue plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Bright Red plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Amber plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Light Green plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Medium Purple plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Light Pink plastic stones (11 mm) Pair of Clear White plastic stones (11 mm)
Please note that the 11mm size is recommended because it exactly matches the outer dimensions of the original. However, it is does not fit completely within the brake mounting nut. This is not a problem or a concern because using epoxy glue and carefully centering on the nut will enable it to be securely fastened and look exacty like the original Cobalto stone.
The smaller 10mm size is only available for the Dark Blue color stone and fits the exact dimensions of the brake mounting nut. However, the stone is not as large as the original and appears smaller when mounted with epoxy glue.
Please email me offlist if you are interested in a set for $1. This is not a for-profit money-maker <GRIN>, just a way to help others CR members who have a unique parts need!
