Actually in 8 speed cassettes the following are readily available Campagnolo Exa-Drive, SRAM (Shimano compatible), SunRace (Shimano compatible), Suntour and of course Shimano. In 7-speed cassettes offerings by Shimano, SunRace and Suntour are readily available as well. Shimano has the largest selections in both 7 and 8 speed.

All because 8-speed cassette aren't available any

How does that go, He who laugh last...........

Classic content. Took an early 80's Univega for it's first ride since I've owned. It rode fairly nice, but the 32c on a high end wheel was very noticeable on the front end being there was a heavier wheel with a 26c on the back. Waiting for tires and had to use what I had. Not much on higher end equipment, but fairly light aluminum stuff to get the job done. Nice entry level bike.
