I do not know Campy's inventory arrangements thirty years ago. I recall that Richard Stirino mentioned that Campy had to dump many NR/SR Group sets into dumpsters because they were taking up space in the mid-1980s.
For the vintage Campy afficionadoes, did Campy USA have a central inventory and shipping warehouse they eventually closed? This may be the location where the surplus inventory was dumped that Richard mentioned!
