I sorta remember that and it was the first shot to bring me to the dark (now-light) side of clincher riding. I still like tubulars, I just don't ride them anymore. I've still got stacks of tires and wheels and keep meaning to throw a pair on one of my bikes, but it just doesn't happen. I still feel that tubulars have the edge in cornering but that's the only real reason I really want a bike with them. Of course to each their own.

SAY IT ISN'T SO. . . .I got the feeling you were going to make the switch when we were blowing the breeze on this month's ride. Welcome to the darkside, I'll give you the key and teach you the handshake in August. For those still in doubt, don't knock it till you try it. Also clincher's have come a very long way in 10 years, so today's Continentals aren't your old Turbo IIs.
