Subject: [CR]preserving good tubulars

I know this seems like a dumb question, esp. coming from someone like me, who's been riding tubulars the better part of 30 years...but...

How can I preserve tubulars I don't want to use right away? Here in SoCal the air quality can be bad enough that contaminants in the air alone can degrade the latex in sidewalls, and eventually crack the rubber in treads....I'm wondering how I could store some of these Criterium Setas and CdM's I have until I need them. I hate to fold them since the latex tubes could eventually crack, and I don't have enough rims, nor enough space, to stretch them all and put them in the dark somewhere, although if that's the answer I may try to cobble something up...

Is that the answer? tires stretched on rims in a cool dark place? Any other ideas if I can't come up with a basement? (I can't..)

Thanks.
