Matteo,

The OvalCX was a poorly constructed, dangerous frameset. It emits toxic fumes, a byproduct of the poor casting process of its lugs. It should not be ridden or sold. Please send all OvalCX framesets to me, and I will dispose of them properly. I am a cerified Colnago refuse center. I am so concerned about the safety of all people who own these framesets, I will offer a $50 incentive, and pay shipping, for each one of these biohazard Colnago timebombs. :-)

I'm obviously kidding. The collectability of the CX is very high in my opinion. Introduced in '82, it was Colnago's highest end frameset to that point. Like Chuck Schmidt said, a lot of people don't know about the CX, which makes determining a market value even more difficult than a run-of-the-mill high end Colnago frameset. Buy it for a price that you can live with, as opposed to buying it speculatively (is that a word? :-).
