Richard Bryne, prez of Speedplay, assembled a titanium bike, complete road setup with SIS shifting pods, that weighed in at 11 pounds and change. He rode the bike at last year's Velo Retro.

I heard that the frame was acid etched. It was very light.

Vintage content - Back in the days I saw a vintage Harry Quinn with everything drilled, time trial setup with TA single chainwheel, 280 gram rims and all the trick OMAS parts, 16 pounds. That's probably about the limit of lightweight with vintage components and steel frame.
