From the Campagnolo Timeline at http://www.velo-retro.com: 1971 -- Catalog #16 Supplement is printed in November for the year-end trade shows. Included are the Superleggero pedals with black anodized aluminum cages, Superleggero seat post (no flutting, thinner wall, aluminum support cradle, drilled pivot, originally with engraved graduated scale), and plastic Superleggeri pumphead are introduced. Also the patented toothed washer (rondella dentata) for the Record sidepull brakes, along with the steel Gran Turismo rear derailleur, Velox low-cost derailleur, Elefante control lever, the steel three-pin Sport cotterless crankset and allen seatbinder bolt.

Superleggero parts are pretty interesting. Kind of a precursor to Super Record. One part in the style of Superleggero, that predates the SL pedal, is the Record track pedal that had silver aluminum shoe plates with teeth and no reinforcement ridge around the plate cutouts. Very rare!
