My 1989 Bianchi Mondiale with 7 speed Campagnolo Croce d'Aune group, made before Campagnolo 8 speed was introduced, has a full 130mm width rear hub. I bought the bike new and nothing has been changed. Interestingly, the rear dropouts have to be sprung slightly to get the wheel in, but I assumed that was typical Bianchi quality -- they are certainly wider than 126mm: I didn't know there was any such thing as 128mm spacing.

This bike has the absolutely hilarious original Croce d'Aune derailleur in which the control cable causes the mechanism to rotate for and aft which then causes a control rod to move the mechanism laterally. Although the groupset was one notch below C-Record, the derailleur was actually more expensive. The bike has a typically shoddy Bianchi lugged SLX frame from Reparto Corse and I only keep it because of the funny derailleur (and the classic colour of course)
