Columbus made butted seamed tubes for Bianchi in the 1980's and probably some other time too. I don't know the name of the tubing but it had a green tubing decal with the usual red and white bird logo in the middle. I believe that Columbus Cromor, used by Bianchi et al. was butted seamed tubing. Hugh Thornton N W UK
