I finally got my '51 Raleigh Lenton roadworthy. I rode 25 miles yesterday as a test ride to see what would break and nothing did. The Sturmey Archer AM hub worked very well and the bike was very comfortable. I managed to average 16 mph with 700x35 c tires at 90 psi (boy are they ugly tires). I couldn't find anything else with 40 hole rims around here. The bike isn't done yet. I will be changing some of the components as I locate more correct replacements ie. handlebars/stem, rims. But it is rolling after about 6 months of scrounging parts. Thank you to those list members who sold me some of the bits and pieces.
