My apologies to the list. Had I consulted the Campagnolo Timeline I would have noticed that I have this reversed. The 9 hole was actually a later version of the Gran Sport, not the first generation, which was only a 2 holer. Regardless, I think the seller may be right--I'm not convinced that the curvature of the derailleur is definitive that it is actually a Valentino and I stand firm that it could be a Gran Sport.
