Shearing the bolts during a extended climb or hard sprint would be
the problem. I've known guy who used two rings with these and put in
a lot of miles up and down the Cascade mountain range with no
problems. Personally I've broken enough chainring bolts on regular
cranks that I'm just paranoid maybe.
