I recently was given a pair of wheels with Maxicar hubs and Wolber/Superchampion rims, labeled Model 58. What can anyone tell me about the rims? I assume they're more beast of burden than sporty. Can I use modern kevlar bead tires (like Veloflex Pave, Vittoria Open CX, Michelin Open Pro) on them? Also, the hubs have some rather nice skewers marked "RFG". Anyone know of these? Thanks!
