Chuck Schmidt asked about my unridden, late-70s Sachs that looks very similar to the 30th:
"Which begs the question: What's "wrong" with the late-70s Sachs?"
Good question, Chuck. Nothing is "wrong" with it. It is two centimeters smaller than the 25th, but has a more upright seat tube angle and fractionally higher bottom bracket (so I thought I could "manage" the differences with seatpost length and offset, and stem length). And it is a wonderful rider, just not as "perfect" as the anniversary bike. Tom Donahue Melbourne, FL (with OTHER old bikes that DO suffer by comparison)
