One thing I've since learned is that Palo Alto Bicycles provides decal sets free of charge to all working on restorations of Palo Alto frames. Vladislav Luskin wrote: Some years ago I bought a used Palo Alto bike outfitted with a mismatched mishmash of French and Italian parts for my wife. The frame has nicely cut-out, fairly long point lugs. Because the frame had a few minor rust spots and the paint was in a so-so shape, I had it, ahem, repainted. Since then, having developed an interest in vintage lightweights I'm trying to find out more about this bike and restore it to resemble the bike it may've been once upon a time.

I've heard that Tom Ritchey built Palo Alto frames many years ago before there was Ritchey Cycles. I don't know whether others built Palo Altos, when these frames were built, or who built them when, what kind of threading the frames had -- couldn't find the info on the bottom bracket. I'd be grateful for any other information list members may offer. Also, I'd like to find out where I may be able to find decals or transfers for the restoration.

Thanks a lot,
