Vlad,

Just so happens I took in the oldest Tom Ritchey frame I've seen to date. It was built in 1974 while Tom was a senior in high school from what I understand from the owner. The owner and Tom went to school together and this frame was built in Feb. 1974 according to his memory. The bike is one of the most interesting and advanced pieces of work I've ever seen considering it was built by a highschool kid in 1974. I will elaborate a bit on this shortly in my responce to the "Raising the Bar" thread last week.

The frame has no decals and was painted a single color Imron maroon; the paint is in unbelieveable condition and was glossy, thin, and durable and a great example of what an excellent product Imron is for bicycles. Depending on how old the frame is; it may not get decals. The frames are usually so distinctive that a decal is not neccessary to distinguish them as the work of the young Tom Ritchey. If there is anything more I can do, let me know. I might be able to guess at a date with some good photos.
