The Cinzano boys used the Silca pump in the front wheel but here is a nicer (and funnier) method of getting rid of a rider; usually one who refuses to work in a break away. You pull the back waist band of their shorts down under the back of their saddle and then everyone else jumps away as hard as they can. This leaves the wheel sucker rather exposed plus it is impossible to get out of the saddle to respond to the jump without making matters worse. This is the real reason that they invented bib shorts.
