No, A freewheel is the threaded interface and the BB spindle is a taper fit which is a totally different thing. You should lube the threads on the crankbolts and dustcaps. I also lube the faces between the crankbolt and washer. Freewheels I think work better using plumbers over grease anyway. One way to think about it is lube all threads and there are no threads on the BB spindle flats.
