There are two front derailleurs that go with the Nuovo Gran Sport Group: 2050 Valentino: box and pushrod type 3600/NT Nuovo Gran Sport: looks like a CSPC Record with no holes, perhaps not finished as well The 2050 is in Catalog 17 and the Olympic catalog; 3600/NT is just in the Olympic. The Olympic is dates from 1982. The 980 front is in the Olympic too. This is a nice changer to use with a half-step and granny triple. There's another budget Campy front changer, but I can't remember what it's called. My Catalog 18 is buried in the mess somewhere. Anyway, it has the same shape as the 3600/NT, but the upper arm has two washers where it attaches to the cage instead of a pushing. The cage has a rough sort of sand blasted finish. It's absolutely the worst looking part ever to come out Campagnolo.

I used an NGS rear heavily for a few years commuting. First it was on a Hypercycle and was the best shifting derailleur I've ever used. The cable was only about 18" long on that bike which might have had something to do with it. Then it went on a Univega and after that a Gazelle. It got really hard use with a 32 tooth freewheel. As parts wore out I replaced them with Nuovo Record bits, because they were easier to get. Finally the lower inside pivot had too much play and I stopped using it. I ended up swapping it and some Blackburn racks to Brother Pine for a Desiree basket case and some 531 decals. Wish I still had it.

By the way, has anyone ever seen a weird 1980's Campagnolo touring derailleur that is double sprung like the original Rally, but has Super Record, NGS and Triomphe based forgings? I think it was called a Turismo. There was one on German ebay a while back.
